Golders Green fire: Dozens evacuated as huge blaze breaks out in north west London shop

Dozens of people have been cleared from a block of flats after a huge fire broke out in a shop in north west London.

Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a shop in Princes Parade, in Golders Green, with the first floor of the block completely gutted by the fire.

A spokeswoman for London Fire Brigade said about 25 people fled the block when the fire broke out, while firefighters also rescued five people on arrival.

Dramatic pictures have emerged on social media of flames billowing out of the block over north west London.

Ten fire engines are still at the scene and road closures are in place.
