Man robbed at knifepoint in ‘terrifying’ daylight attack at north London train station

Police are hunting a thug who robbed a 19-year-old man at knifepoint during a “frightening” attack at a north London train station.

The victim was sitting on a bench on a platform at Edmonton Green station when the suspect sat next to him.

He showed him a large knife in his bag and demanded that the victim hand over his wallet and debit card, police said.

The teenager was also forced to tell the man his PIN number.

Investigating officer DC Ross McAlpine, said: “As you can imagine this was a very frightening experience for the victim who was terrified by this man’s threatening behaviour.

“The suspect demanded the victim hand over his wallet including his PIN.

“We are now working tirelessly to trace the person responsible and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.” 

The robbery happened at about 11.45am on Tuesday 16 May.
