Earlier in the week the Duchess of Cambridge visited King’s College Hospital to meet some of those injured in the 3 June terrorist attack, as well as medical staff who treated them.

Local MP Neil Coyle has written to the prime minister urging her to visit the market and meet traders and locals.

• On Friday the Archbishop of Canterbury will preach at a special service at Southwark Cathedral for those injured in and affected by the attack.

• The market will be open on the next two Sundays for extra trading days as business seek to recover from the 10-day shutdown after the attack.
