Four arrests in murder investigation after man is brutally stabbed and shot dead in east London | London

Four more arrests have been made as part of a murder investigation after 41-year-old Brenton Roper was brutally stabbed and shot dead in east London.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at around 4.30pm on May 13, to reports of a seriously injured man in Eagling Close in Bow. He had been shot and stabbed.

Police, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance were at the scene before the man was pronounced dead at just after 5.35pm.

Police have now formally identified the victim as 41-year-old Brenton Roper and said his next-of-kin have been informed.

A post-mortem examination was held on May 16 at Poplar Mortuary and gave the cause of death as gunshot injuries.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.
