Minute’s silence to remember the victims of the van attack near Finsbury Park Mosque | London

A minute’s silence is being observed at midday around Britain to remember the victims of the van attack near Finsbury Park Mosque last week.

A van ploughed into worshippers leaving Ramadan prayers at the north London mosque just after midnight on June 18. Makram Ali, 51, died at the scene and 11 other people were injured in the attack.

Darren Osborne, 47, from Cardiff, was charged with murder and attempted murder.
The incident is being investigated as a terrorism incident by the Metropolitan Police.
Government buildings will hold the silence and in some places, such as Bolton and Cambridge, people are expected to gather in public places to remember the victims.
