Dumped dog found with overgrown nails used as ‘breeding machine’ | London

A dog with claws so long they curled round three times was found dumped in a village near Harlow.

The RSPCA says the emaciated dog who was unable to walk was used as a ‘breeding machine’.

Glynis, as she’s now been named, was rescued in May and has undergone intensive treatment for a variety of health problems. She had no collar or identification tag on and was not microchipped.

This poor dog was extremely skinny, had an eye infection, unbelievably overgrown nails and a life-threatening infection in her uterus called pyometra.

Her nails had curled around three times before embedding in her pads which were horribly infected – she’d clearly not had them clipped or been walked for a long time.
