Something’s Not Quite Right With This Tube Map…

Well, well, well. What have we here? Undeniably, it’s a tube map, but it’s much more unruly than Harry Beck’s standard issue tube map.

That’s because it’s a geographical rendering, linking up the stations in the correct order, but paying little heed to the route the tube tunnels take. The result is something akin to trying to read a regular map when you’ve had one pint too many, and the stations are all swimming into one another.

It only features the District, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines. TfL produced the map in April 2016 while planning upgrade works on these four lines.
