Polish man admits stabbing ex-girlfriend to death in Mile End attack

A 23-year-old Polish man has admitted stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death.

Grzegorz Kosiec launched a frenzied attack on his former girlfriend Karolina Chwiluk as she visited friends in Mile End on May 4.

The 20-year-old architecture student suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Kosiec had admitted manslaughter at an earlier hearing but returned to the Old Bailey and pleaded guilty to murder.

He also admitted wounding Dawid Czerwiwski, 24, and Monika Fijak, 42, but denied intent to cause grevious bodily harm.
