England scrum-half Ben Youngs will miss the rest of the Six Nations after damaging knee ligaments in Sunday’s victory over Italy.

The 28-year-old Leicester player was injured in the early stages in Rome and scans revealed a rupture of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

He is due for further assessment this week but is expected to be sidelined for four months.

Richard Wigglesworth of Saracens replaces him in the England squad.
